The car is extremely small and it is more of an experiment than an actual vehicle. People might find it too innovative to their liking as it can accommodate only one passenger at a time. The 2017 Electra Meccanica Solo is extremely small with its dimensions making it an ideal pick for office goers who live in busy metropolitan cities. The model requires very minimal space on the road and you can reach your office much quicker than when you drive in a sedan or coupe.

An eco-friendly model, the car looks like it borrows some of the design aesthetics from Toyota i-Road and the Polaris slingshot. On the inside, the EV is powered by an electric motor that delivers up to 82 horsepower. The rear end of the automobile has a single wheel. Mileage is provided by a 16.1-kilowatt lithium ion battery. Being a small car, it can travel long distances using a small battery and it takes less than three hours for the battery to fully get charged.

The car is being manufactured by a Canadian automobile manufacturer. Named the SOLO, the new electric model is extremely stylish and is fun to drive because it weighs just 1,000 pounds. Maneuvering the model in tight corners should be relatively easy. It can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 8 seconds. The top speed of the car is 80 miles per hour.

The overall length of the 2017 Electra Meccanica SOLO is 14 inches in length and 47.6 inches wide. Being a small car, you can’t expect it to be packed with features on the inside. All the basic amenities are found in the SOLO including Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry, power windows, side view mirrors and air conditioners. It’s surprising to see so many things packed inside this small three-wheeled car.

A small trunk is available in the back that offers 10-cubic feet cargo space. The battery pack has two years limited warranty and the manufacturer offers five-year support in case any service is to be done. The model is expected to be priced at $15,550 in the U.S. A stylish, compact and eco-friendly offering is what the SOLO aims to be.
