Climate-gate: Foxes Declare Henhouse Well Guarded
By Rod Pennington
Since the Climate-gate scandal erupted last fall there have been a series of “investigations” into the affair. As would be expected, when you allow the fox to investigate who has been breaking into the henhouse, they found no wrong doing.
This latest report was bought and paid for by the University of East Anglia. Anglia is home base for the star of the scandal, Dr. Phil Jones. Its computers were also the source of many of the more embarrassing emails that were made public.
When the emails were released it showed the dark underbelly of the scientists at the epicenter of climate research. In their own words, they were exposed as a group that was willing to go to great lengths to suppress any opposition. They tried to have colleagues discredited and peer review publications boycotted if they showed the slightest dissent from their version of “accepted science.” They even went so far as to brag about the “tricks” they used to fudge the data on global warming.
With the same veracity as a tobacco industry report on the harm of smoking, the Anglia report breathlessly confirmed the “rigor and honesty as scientists are not in doubt.”
“Nothing to see here. Move along,” said the fox.
