Washington Gone Wild – Democrats Spending Two Dollars for Every Dollar They Get

This week a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows President Barack Obama job approval rating at a new low of only 41%. What the poll fails to mention is the near universal support the President still enjoys among African-Americans which represent 14% of the population. If this support is subtracted from Mr. Obama, then he is somewhere in the range of 30% approval and 70% disapproval with all non-Blacks.

For nearly 3 months the world was mesmerized by watching the live feed of oil gushing from the bottom of the Gulf. Now, only a few weeks after the leak was capped, crews are having trouble finding any of the spilled oil to clean up. Despite hundreds of boats and spotter planes looking for spilled oil, there is little to be found.

Bill Clinton famously pointed out in 1992, “It’s the economy, stupid.” Apparently the Democrats have forgotten this simple idea.

As expected, Gov. Joe Manchin III has announced he will run for the United States Senate seat previous held by Robert Byrd. This move was highly expected. His likely opponent will be Rep. Shelly Capito (R-WV). Early polls show Manchin with a double digit lead in the race.

It is unlikely any Democrat could beat the popular Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) in November. However, this is South Carolina and there could be a “Putney Swope” moment just waiting to happen.

If he loses, then he can point the finger at the citizens of his hometown of Oakland.

If this were a game of chess game, it would be like trading a pawn for your opponent’s queen.

The big question no one seems to be asking is why is a teacher’s job more important than anyone else’s?

They make no waves, pass no legislation but show up and vote however the boys tell them to.
