Soccer is easily the most boring competitive game ever created and the “men” who play it are the biggest wimps on the planet. Someone brushes up against them and they fall to the ground writhing like they are trying to stop the flow from a compound fracture. The crocodile tears flow as they are carted to the sideline. There the trainer, who obviously spends the off-season “laying hands” on cripples in revival tents, performs yet another miracle.
If I had to make a list of my top five favorite movies of all time Avatar would instantly be on the list. I would have to think about the other four to include. Okay, I admit it. I’m a sucker for Hollywood formula movies. I go to the local multiplex to be entertained and not depressed. Art films = boring. Chick flicks = naptime
You have to hold your breath every time “The Doctor” “regenerates.” Will you like the new Doctor, especially since David Tennant was so good? What about his “companion”? What will she be like?
You can almost taste the panic coming out of Washington as the $8,000 and $6,500 home buyers programs expired on May 1st. Some of the Amazon reviews for those comfortable with the genteel fare of her earlier books took umbrage with this new direction.
