2017 Subaru Legacy and Outback Pricing Announced

Subaru has announced the pricing for the 2017 Legacy and the Outback models.

The entry level sedan is priced at $22,815 while the crossover wagon is priced at $26,520.

The pricing for the models include destination delivery charges. Both the sedan and the wagon are powered by the same 2.5-liter flat four engine in the basic 2.5i variant. The engine is capable delivering a total of 175 horsepower which is acceptable at the price point at which Subaru is offering the cars. A higher end 3.6R model is also available which is powered by a 3.6-liter flat six powertrain which can deliver up to 256 horsepower.

A common lineartronic CVT transmission system by Subaru is found on both the Legacy and the Outback models. They use an all-wheel drive system which obviously leads to better performance and torque. The newer version of these vehicles are also better when it comes to fuel management. In terms of features, the 2017 Legacy and Outback has a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is equipped with Starlink multimedia interface connected to a rearview camera and Bluetooth connectivity.

For buyers who opt for the higher end version of the car, the company offers a bigger seven-inch touchscreen display, moon roof, dual climate zone control system, audio system provided by Harman Kardon, easy navigation and keyless entry/ start functionality. The Limited and Touring trimline are equipped with automatic braking as well as high beam assist in the 2017 edition. All these features are shared by both the vehicles, the sedan and the crossover wagon. Eyesight safety suite is equipped to ensure a safe ride for the entire family.

A brand new 2.5i Sport trim is also added to the Legacy models which are equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights and gloss black housing with two tone cloth upholstery. The front grille in the sports edition is dark gray and turn signal mirrors have a silvery finish. The touring grade model adds all these features and also has heated steering wheel, Java Brown leather interiors which are duly contrasted with ivory stitching. Both Legacy and Outback are offered with touring grade upgrade.

The vehicles are scheduled to hit showrooms in the month of July. Pre-orders will start real soon. Subaru is aiming to offer the best features for the investment made and yet managed to keep the pricing of the vehicles quite affordable even on the top of the line trim models.
