The base model of any vehicle is designed to be the lower most option that customers could go for with minimal features.
However, little known to people, there is a hidden package offered for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma base model which allows you to shave off $1700 from its MSRP.
While there are plenty of other options available, the Tacoma is one of the most popular truck models and Toyota has been doing a good job with it for a long time. Even though, they didn’t spend enough time to refresh the model in time, the company did it in the 2016 edition.
The basic variant of the pickup truck is priced at $23,300, but most customers may not know that there is actually another model which comes with a utility package. It is the least bare bone version of the Tacoma that you could find. For any user who can be happy with the version and is planning to use it to simply deliver goods from one place to another, this model is more than enough.
It has a pricing of $21,585 which is a solid $1,715 lesser than the base variant. But, being one of the least known models with hardly any feature to sell it, Toyota prefers to keep this version of Tacoma out of the mainstream audience.
When opting for the utility package, you should also know that some of the features bundled with the basic model will be removed. In this truck, you won’t have the back seats which obviously also removes the seat belts, cup holder and headrests. It is a complete package that will be removed in order to reduce the price and make the truck friendly for those who use it to transport load. The rear window will slide in the original truck, but it will be replaced by a solid one that is immovable. The package gives you additional items like side view mirror caps, door handles and black bumpers.
Business individuals often have a requirement for a good pickup truck and the Toyota Tacoma is undoubtedly the best in the series. There’s no better one that you could find with dealers because it is a solid launch with decent specifications and performance. Removing the back seat is hardly a big deal for a company that is going to primarily use it for transporting load and saving almost two thousand dollars is a good deal, isn’t it?
